About the Author
While in the Marine Corps, Lisa served in Parris Island, South Carolina; Twentynine Palms, California; and Okinawa, Japan. After college, she backpacked solo around Europe trying to figure out her place in the world. Coming across good luck in Paris, she lived and worked in an international youth hostel and then in a tiny studio in the heart of Montmartre.
Back in the States, Lisa tried several career paths, including owning a bookstore and being a "Mad Scientist," before settling down and going to grad school. She then began writing about her travels and experiences.
Lisa now lives in the Boston area with her husband and two children. She operates her business focused on technical writing, editing, and Web content management, yet still enjoys writing in local cafes.
